My oldest just turned 13!
ThirTEEN!
a teenager- am I ready for this?
Here he is - 5 years ago when we first moved here to Hawaii.
This was at Ward Camp and these two rascals became
best buds.
(awe anjeny- aren't they adorable?)
How did this teenager want to spend his birthday?
Having a HUGE day of Nerf dart gun wars and playing Hockey.
Here they were rearranging teams and gathering ammo....
Nerf guns-- what a life saver!
Our ORIGINAL plan was to
go on a hike,
play hockey,
eat pizza
then walk to the beach
come back and have brownies and ice cream.
But as my luck has it-
it rained.
They were able to get in a short game of hockey.
It was hard core- half the kids had roller blades and the other half ran around barefoot!
luckily no toes were lost in the process.
Here he is ...
in his element..
sharing his love of hockey
with his friends.
Happy Birthday!

He seems alright as far as teenage boys go. At least he's not like Mr sunshine!
Hey, I just left a long comment and it disappeared. AAAAHHH! I hate that.
Now I have to write the whole thing over again.
Okay, take two. I said that I can't even believe he's a teenager. ARE. You. SERIOUS? I will never believe it.
I also said that it was really sad to see them all playing roller hockey on the basketball court. sniff. You should censor photos like so the faint of heart don't get faint of heart.
Speaking of toes, Wyatt says he can't wait to go back to Hawaii so he can get his feet all good again. Direct quote. He is feeling like less of a man because his feet are soft now. hahahahahaha
I was surprised at how much nana had grown up. She is very lovely. Garrett is growing taller too. And he's reading. All the time. Today he had 3 hard cover books in his back pack that he had checked out from the library and I caught him reading with my reading glasses on. hahaha I'll have to post a picture. It's like a dream come true.
Hey, I sent the letter yesterday so you only have to wait by the mailbox a few more days.
